Steven Butler is a veteran comic book artist who began his career in 1989 and has worked primarily as a penciler.

His first published work was for First Comics, on the Badger title, and for Malibu Graphics, as an inker on the title Cat and Mouse, which he worked on with friends Roland Mann and Mitch Byrd.
He moved from there to Marvel Comics drawing numerous titles such as Punisher War Journal, Silver Sable and the Wild Pack, and Web Of Spider-Man.

In 1997, he began working for Archie Comics on their Sonic The Hedgehog title, which he contributed to for many years. In 2005, he was hired to work on the Betty and Veronica “New Look” story that received strong media coverage and helped pave the way for Archie’s current success in the comics field.

Steven has also worked for companies like Disney Adventures Magazine, providing comic stories based on Disney properties, and for Faith-Based comic companies producing titles like PowerMark and Welcome To Holsom.

These days, Steven is busy teaming up with his long-time friend Barry Gregory (of Ka-Blam Digital Printing) to produce Gallant Comics, a comic line that specializes in utilizing Golden Age Comic characters that are in the public domain and telling new stories using them.
